The R.E.A.L. help program (Real Estate Experts Aligned to Help) is an innovative and new coordination and cooperation between Atlantic County Sheriff’s office, State and County real estate, mortgage and community service industry professionals to include but not limited to The New jersey Housing Mortgage Finance Agency (NJHMFA), The Department of banking and Insurance (DOBI), the United Way of Atlantic County, Money Management International, and numerous local service agencies. This program was designed to offer a qualified clearinghouse of information, trained professional guidance, and ways to help the residents of Atlantic County deal with the reality of potential property loss. This Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office outreach program is designed by experts in their fields to help County residents to understand more about citizen empowerment, the creation of a statewide and national model what works in the field, pending or possible foreclosures, loan workouts, bankruptcy laws, sale processes, Sheriff’s sale processes, HUD approved Housing Counseling Agencies, Tax appeals, and Refinancing/reverse mortgages.
