The Anti-Graffiti Project is a program that connects graffiti artists (taggers) with legitimate art programs throughout Suffolk County, enabling them to paint murals designed to be displayed in facilities such as hospitals, airports, and schools. These murals are designed and painted by the artists as they partner with professionals to develop their skills appropriately rather than destroying property by tagging. The training received by the graffiti artists will enable them to produce quality work so they can go on to present displays of their art work in addition to learning how to use their creative ability as a potential opportunity for employment.
