The Los Angeles County Housing Resource Center (LAC-HRC) is an Internet-based housing database and website that provides comprehensive listings of affordable rental, emergency, transitional, for-sale, and special needs housing resources through the County of Los Angeles. Designed to assist landlords, residents, and client caseworkers, the LAC-HRC meets the needs of multiple stakeholders through the provision of regularly updated regional housing listings, the operation of a bilingual toll-free Call Center, and the posting of public information on new housing assistance programs funded by federal stimulus programs. The website is managed by the Community Development Commission of the County of Los Angeles (CDC), and it is operated by a national non-profit organization called socialserve.com. Through the development of partnerships with other County jurisdictions and housing organizations, the LAC-HRC serves as an information clearinghouse that has enhanced the quality and quantity of regional housing data and resources, supporting residents and stakeholders within all the 88 incorporated cities as well as unincorporated areas of the County of Los Angeles.
