From the onset of the COVID Health Pandemic, ABS Retail Stores were designated an essential business. From Mid -March through the end of the 2020 Calendar Year ABSâs 26 retail stores had 2.5 Million transactions and over 3 Million visitors making the Retail Team one of the most at-risk groups in the County. The ABS Retail Division recognized an immediate need to protect its employees even before the Pandemic came into the national spotlight and was working on policies and plans in the Beginning of February 2020. These included Plexi-Glass barriers, Unique Staffing Partnerships, Changes in Operating Hours, PPE and Cleaning Supplies, Unique Business Partnerships, Employee Contests, Deep Cleaning Process for Retail stores, Staffing Plan and Staffing Sheet Updated Daily, ABS Retail Policy Changes to protect employees, Partnerships with suppliers to support safety in the stores. These efforts helps keep our 200+ retail employees and over 3 Million County Customers safe in a very high-risk environment.
