Leon County’s full color, 76-page magazine-style annual report describes the accomplishments of Leon County for the 2012-2013 fiscal year, with accessible facts about the county’s services and a cover featuring imagery of the natural beauty of the community. Each page displays mission statements and strategic initiatives of each division. This year’s annual report engages citizens as stakeholders in their county government like never before by telling a year-long story of county services in people’s lives. Fiscal Year 2013 continued as a period of challenge and change – for Leon County government and for those they served. The new annual report presents an opportunity to create a citizen-oriented report that displays the significant progress on the Board of County Commissioners’ highest priorities each year. With more than 275,000 citizens in Leon County, the audience was large and the purpose of the annual report was clear: explain how county services were impacting residents in positive respects.
