About Darryl Polk

As the Chief Technology Officer for Riverside County, California, Darryl Polk serves as a champion for the effective and impactful use of technology to support the County’s 25,000 employees serving over 2.4 million residents across over 7,000 square miles stretching from the greater urban Los Angeles region to the Arizona border. 

Darryl’s public service career stretches 36 years, having also served as the first CIO for the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California, on the Senior Command Staff for the Ontario Police Department as the Police Administrative Director, and as a manager, supervisor, and 9-1-1 dispatcher for Ontario’s regional emergency communications center. 

He holds a Master’s of Public Administration from Villanova University and is a Certified Government Chief Information Officer through the Public Technology Institute (PTI). He currently volunteers as an Executive Board member for PTI and on the IT Standing Committee for NACo.
