    Zarmeena Waseem is a passionate leader. As an immigrant and someone who considers herself a global citizen, she believes in intersectional advocacy. She took a leap into cybersecurity because there is a new challenge to learn about and teach about every day. She sees cybersecurity as a tool to empower different demographics to protect themselves, their information, their communities and close the economic disparity for minorities. She started her journey by creating the Security Awareness program for The George Washington University and moved on to be an Information Security Trainer at The New York Times before joining the National Cybersecurity Alliance.
