Senior VP and Chief Evangelist for the Center for Internet Security
Tony Sager is a senior vice presidenta and chief evangelist for the Center for Internet Security, Inc. (CIS) where he leads the development of CIS Controls, a worldwide consensus project to find and support technical best practices in cybersecurity. A former information assurance professional with the National Security Agency, Mr. Sager worked as a mathematical cryptographer and software vulnerability analyst and led the release of NSA security guidance to the public. He was twice awarded the Presidedential Rank Award (Meritorious Level) and the NSA Exceptional Civilian Service Award. He is on the Board of Directors of the Cybercrime Support Network and is a member of the National Academy of Sciences Cyber Resilience Forum.
