About Shaunda Ragland

Shaunda Ragland serves as an Education and Training Associate at NACo. She is responsible for the development, facilitation, and management of education and professional development programs for county officials nationwide.

Shaunda is an all American Scholar who was featured in Who’s Who Among American College Students. Shaunda served as a Senate Page for Senator Richard L. Saslaw as well as a Congressional Intern for Congresswoman Julia Carson. As a Ron Brown Fellow, Shaunda conducted an analysis of U. S. immigration policies. Shaunda’s current research focuses on the intersectionality of the criminal justice system and education policies. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Virginia State University.  Shaunda earned her Master of Public Administration degree at American University; she graduated with distinction. She is a lifetime member of Pi Sigma Alpha and Pi Alpha Alpha. Shaunda is a dedicated public servant who seeks to make the world a better place.
