Shannon Burke

Shannon Burke is an urban planning professional with over 20 years of experience as a hazard mitigation consultant, FEMA specialist and local government planner for several jurisdictions in Louisiana, including the City of New Orleans Mayor’s Office and City Planning Commission.  Ms. Burke is the manager of the American Planning Association Hazards Planning Center.  She oversees research projects within the center, works to secure future funding and builds partnerships with organizations working to advance resiliency across the country.
