About Sarah Krahn

Sarah Krahn began her career with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, Division of Community Corrections as a Probation and Parole Agent in 2006 and worked as an agent in Milwaukee and Madison.  She promoted to Corrections Field Supervisor in 2015 and has supervised both sex offender and comprehensive field units.  In January of 2020 Sarah was promoted to Assistant Regional Chief in Region 1 of the Division of Community Corrections and works alongside Assistant Chief Jay Laufenberg and Chief Troy Enger to oversee operations of the eight counties that make up the Region.  Sarah has had broad experience building relationships with outside stakeholders in Dane County and has served on various workgroups and committees including the statewide Trauma Informed Care Workgroup and is the Regional Trauma Informed Care committee chair.  She has worked closely with the Madison Police Department’s Special Investigation Unit (SUI) and was instrumental in assisting with the development and roll out of the Dane County Wisconsin Reentry Program (WRP).  Sarah has a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
