About Nathan Wiebe

Nathan Wiebe is the Chief Information Security Officer for Contra Costa County (CCC), California. The CCC government serves over one million citizens, has an estimated budget of approximately $4 billion, and is comprised of departments ranging from Elections to Health Services. Nathan’s passion for public service began when he started using his technology and business skills to investigate Ponzi schemes and bankruptcy fraud for the U.S. Courts. He has two decades of experience in the private sector, federal, and local government. He has held positions including chief of investigations for Austin’s city auditor and investigator for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Nathan earned a Bachelor of Science in information systems from Cal State University Los Angeles, a Master in Business Administration from the University of Southern California, and is in the final term of a Master of Information and Cybersecurity at the University of California at Berkeley. He received training in forensics from the US Secret Service and holds numerous security certifications.
