Ms. Pam Mood

Pamela Mary Mood is a leadership expert, professional speaker and strong proponent of providing educational opportunities for local and regional government officials that will lay the strong foundation for good governance. She is a frequent speaker at municipal and county events, speaking on topics such as structural reform, leadership, public engagement, building teams, development strategies, civility in local government, diplomacy, dealing with conflict, building partnerships and more. 

As the Mayor of the Town of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Pam is a celebrated go-to official for those looking to understand not only how local government works, but how to use the tools provided them to make a difference in their respective communities. Her degree in Political Science from Acadia University and her on-the-job experience provide a winning combination for understanding the lived realities of elected officials. She presently serves on the Executive of the Union of Nova Scotia Municipalities and is the Towns Caucus Chair for the Province.  She has served as a subject matter expert on many municipal government issues and has subsequently facilitated sessions on these topics.
