M. Simone Boyd

M. Simone Boyd is a Nashville/Davidson County-based writer. A former energy analyst and non-profit administrator, Boyd has led workshops at The Smithsonian Institution and Kipp DC. She explores what makes relationships and neighborhoods thrive or die. Whether it’s academic research shared as creative non-fiction or a workshop…she tells stories. At least once a week, people—some incarcerated—share that her novel, The Day Sonny Died, has made them hopeful.
