About Lorelei Oviatt

Lorelei Oviatt, AICP has worked in the public and private sector of land development. Her years of professional planning experience focuses on project management of large scale, multiagency, extremely complex projects and moving them through permitting, under accelerated timeframes, to streamline economic development and support quality of life for communities.  Her projects include over 18,900 MW of renewable energy including battery storage as well as environmentally protective oil and gas production.

Her current project leadership includes the first Carbon Capture, Sequestration (CCS) projects in California which could, potentially, permanently store over 81 million metric tons of CO2. as well as new carbon management industries.  Her selection was recently announced as a member of the White House Council on Environmental Quality, Dioxide Capture, Utilization and Sequestration (CCUS) Non-Federal Lands Task Force. She received a B.A in Sociology from Baldwin -Wallace University in Berea, Ohio, and an M.A in Public Administration from California State University, Bakersfield.
