Administrator, Local Highway Technical Assistance Council
Jeff Miles began in highway construction during college working on the survey crew in 1978, then later the construction residency. Graduating with his engineering degree from Idaho State University, Jeff continued with the Idaho Transportation Department. During his 33 year career with the Department he worked in many different areas including the construction residency, District design, Traffic, and Bridge Inspection. As a manager he worked in Bridge Inspection Engineer, Headquarters Design and Headquarters Maintenance. Also working as Assistant District Engineer, State Construction Engineer and State Materials Engineer.
In 2011 he joined the Local Highway Technical Assistance Council as the Deputy Administrator later becoming the Administrator.
He and his wife Kim enjoy spending time with their 5 sons and 1 daughter and their four grandchildren. He enjoys camping, ATV riding and traveling.
