About Jamie Piziali
Jamie Piziali is the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) first Municipal Ombudsman. She serves as a resource for communities seeking to comply with the Clean Water Act and works directly with Agency leadership and regional offices to ensure uniform application of agency policies to municipalities. The Ombudsman supports communities in navigating federal assistance opportunities, technical assistance, permitting and enforcement flexibilities, and integrated planning. Jamie brings almost fifteen years of experience in municipal and industrial wastewater permitting to the role from EPA’s Office of Water, where she was most recently leading EPA’s National Green Infrastructure Program.
