Hon. Matt Prochaska

Clerk of the Circuit Court Matthew Prochaska is from Kendall County, Illinois. Matt has served as Clerk of the Circuit Clerk since 2020 and previously served as a County Board Member and Chairman Pro Temp from 2012 to 2020. In addition, Matt has served as Chairman of the Kendall County Housing Authority since 2011, and Vice-President of the Kendall County Forest Preserve. While a County Board Member, Matt Chaired, the Planning, Building, and Zoning Committee; Public Safety Committee; Judicial Legislative Committee; Law, Justice, and Legislation Committee; and Forest Preserve Advisory Committee. Before becoming a county line officer Matt worked as Director of Operations for Strive Strategies Group. In Illinois, Matt is the Vice-President of the Illinois State Association of Counties and serves as their Legislative Chair, and serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the United Counties Council of Illinois. Here at NACo, Matt, Chairs the Membership Committee, has served as a subcommittee chair and vice-chair on Transportation and a subcommittee vice-chair on Justice and Public Safety, as well as a member of the Rural Action Caucus (RAC).
