About Hon. Marcy Rood
Ms. Rood is currently a principal environmental transportation analyst at Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) and continues to provide support to DOE’s Clean Cities Program and related international activities since 1995. She leads a team of ANL technical experts in the areas of electric drive, natural gas, and propane vehicles, renewable natural gas, idle-reduction technologies, and emissions and greenhouse gas modeling, providing research, analysis, training, and communication products to the Clean Cities network. Prior to her work for the Department, she was a staff member to Congressman Ted Strickland, 6th District of Ohio. In 1987 she began her career in the energy efficiency field as a manager at the Ohio Department of Development, Office of Energy Efficiency. Ms. Rood also serves as a county commissioner in Macon County, Ill.
