Hon. Daniel Mahoney

Commissioner Daniel J. Mahoney represents District 7 of Jackson County, Michigan, located within the city of Jackson. A graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a major in entrepreneurship and a minor in communication, Commissioner Mahoney is an alumnus of Jackson Community College. In addition to serving as a commissioner, Commissioner Mahoney coordinates community events in conjunction with the Jackson Interfaith Shelter and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center, including the annual Back to School event that benefits over 200 children and provides backpacks, school supplies and other resources. Commissioner Mahoney believes it is the responsibility of local government to provide the community with the resources to be successful and enable residents to sustain a well rounded work/home balance in their community.
