Faith Augustine is the Director of the Louisville Metro Criminal Justice Commission, appointed in April 2019. The Metro Criminal Justice Commission is a department of Louisville Metro Government charged with criminal justice planning and coordination of systemic justice projects. Ms. Augustine joined the Commission as a Public Protection Coordinator in November 2003 and was responsible for coordinating and staffing various committees and projects including the Legislative Committee, Jail Policy Committee and the Disproportionate Minority Confinement Advisory Board. Ms. Augustine also served as the Commission’s Strategic Planning Liaison and Performance Partner to the Mayor’s Office. Prior to her position with Metro Government, Ms. Augustine held a similar position at the Kentucky Criminal Justice Council, a 32-member criminal justice coordinating council charged with making recommendations to the Governor and the Kentucky General Assembly on criminal justice policy and legislation. She has a Master of Science Degree and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Justice Administration from the University of Louisville.
