About Elayne Weiss
Elayne Weiss serves as the Director of Housing, Community Development, and Insurance Policy with the House Committee on Financial Services, where her work focuses on homelessness and affordable rental housing. Prior to joining the Committee, Elayne worked as a senior policy analyst at the National Low Income Housing Coalition, where she advocated for increased funding for federal housing programs and was responsible for NLIHC’s work in the areas of criminal justice reform, homelessness, and fair housing, among other issues. Elayne also served as a legislative assistant for the American Civil Liberties Union Washington Legislative Office. Elayne holds a J.D. from the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law and a B.A. in economics from Brandeis University. Elayne is originally from Philadelphia.
