About Deborah Fleischaker
Deborah (Deb) Fleischaker is the assistant director of policy at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Prior to that, she was the senoir counselor for immigration enforcement and supervisionr in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Policy and deputy director of the Compliance Branch of the DHS Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties. Before joining DHS, she served as counsel, Senate Judiciary Committee in the Office of Senator Patrick J. Leahy (D-Vt.) and director of legislative affairs at Families Against Mandatory Minimums. Ms. Fleischaker earned a juris doctor degree from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law and holds a bachelors degree in human and organizational development from Vanderbilt University.
