David Brandt

David Brandt is the Geospatial Systems Architect for Washington County. With more than 25 years of experience with GIS technology, he has worked at the City of Stillwater, Dakota County, Xcel Energy and Washington County. At Washington County, he manages the enterprise-wide GIS architecture and coordinates the use of GIS across the county. Since 2006, he has taught advanced GIS courses at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls as an adjunct instructor. In 2009, the MN GIS/LIS Consortium awarded him the Polaris Leadership Award in recognition for his collaborative GIS work and involvement in statewide initiatives. He currently serves as the Leadership Team for the Minnesota Geospatial Advisory Council and Vice Chair for the MetroGIS Coordinating Committee.
