Dana LaFayette

Dana LaFayette is the Director of Behavioral Justice and Veteran Services for the Heart of Texas Region Mental Health and Mental Retardation Center in McLennan County, Texas. In this role, Ms. LaFayette coordinates trauma-informed and recovery-oriented jail diversion efforts for the central Texas region, including its pretrial diversion, community reintegration and outpatient competency restoration programs. Ms. LaFayette is a licensed professional counselor supervisor and a licensed chemical dependency counselor and is frequently called upon to provide training and presentations for law enforcement and community organizations on crisis intervention training, suicide prevention and awareness, mental health, trauma-informed care and recovery and integration using Recovery Oriented Systems of Care.
