American Tower

Our mission is to help wireless service providers deploy telecommunications networks on time and on budget, so Americans can work and attend school remotely, receive telemedicine services, connect with family and friends, and much more.

Why American Tower

County leaders promote connectivity solutions for their citizens, schools, hospitals, businesses, state and local government agencies, and municipalities. Access to reliable and cost-effective broadband allows communities to connect and thrive. We know your communities can’t wait any longer for adequate connectivity, and it is critical to deploy network plans as soon as possible, especially with opportunities like the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF), Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) auction, and other grants.

Our mission is to help wireless service providers deploy telecommunications networks on time and on budget, so Americans can work and attend school remotely, receive telemedicine services, connect with family and friends, and much more. When considering options, fiber is integral to all broadband networks, but fiber alone can only take you so far in rural areas prone to challenging terrain, such as lakes, rivers, mountains, and railroad tracks. A hybrid network solution, including fiber and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA), gives counties the ability to serve high-need areas both today and tomorrow. Deploying fiber in densely populated areas and FWA in fiber-prohibitive areas can reduce installation times and costs.

Our towers provide a shared infrastructure, which reduces the need to build new telecommunications sites in your county. Multiple wireless service providers can collocate on a single existing tower, helping to simplify network deployment and speeding time to market. No matter where you are in your technology infrastructure journey, we’re here to help.

American Tower brings a track record of delivering broadband solutions with the right assets, resources, and expertise:

  • We have towers in all 50 states and almost every county in the U.S.
  • Our more than 500 Wireless Internet Services Provider (WISP) customers provide critical broadband services that bridge the digital divide in rural areas.

As the technology of communications has evolved, American Tower has remained a leader in the industry. Today, we are providing important tower infrastructure for the move to 5G networks, helping our customers deliver long-anticipated innovations in the way we work and live.
