The NACo Virtual Federal Policy Summit brought together county leaders, members of Congress, federal officials, thought leaders and other partners for informative sessions on the numerous policy decisions being made at the federal level that will impact county governments.
The National Association of Counties (NACo) joined a coalition of transportation and infrastructure stakeholders calling on members of the 117th Congress to pass a comprehensive, bipartisan infrastructure bill by July 4, 2021. Led by the U.S.
P.L. 114-94, the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act, is due for a one-year extension the week of September 28th and is expected to pass as part of the Continuing Resolution lawmakers must enact to continue funding the government past September 30, which is both the end of the fiscal year and the expiration of the FAST Act.
