The St. Charles County Recovery Plan Performance Report includes $3.25 million for the Family Arena Public Health Support Facility and Tourism Project, $57.25 million for a correctional project to improve mental health/substance abuse and detainee living conditions, $4.5 million for non-profit services to vulnerable populations, $8.35 million for the continued public health response, $1 million for middle mile broadband and $700,000 for law enforcement technology and equipment. The $57.25 million for the correctional project will add a unit specifically for mental health/substance abuse to address the increase in pretrial individuals with mental health and substance abuse disorders. Additionally, 172 units will be added to promote healthier living conditions for incarcerated individuals and working conditions for law enforcement correctional staff.
