    Innovations in Transportation and Technology: County Leadership Peer Exchange

    The Innovations in Transportation and Technology: County Leadership Peer Exchange was held in Johnson County/Iowa City, Iowa, May 12-13, 2016. Hosted by the National Association of Counties with support from the Federal Highway Administration, the event explored on innovations and technology in county and regional transportation planning. Topics included connected and autonomous vehicle technology, “big data,” and how counties can leverage new technologies to improve both goods and passenger movement. Attendees also toured the National Advanced Driving Simulator to learn about its facilities and current research. Presentations from the event are provided below.
