The purpose of this workshop is to explore with county government officials ways public defense providers can constructively contribute to the mission of county governments to create and sustain safe communities while, at the same time, efficiently and effectively spend the public dollars that need to be spent and conserve funds that are not. Special attention will be given to relevant evidence based practices that can be promoted through effective public defense services.
