SharePoint is a Web-based collaboration and communication application framework that integrates intranet, content management, and document management. Wake County WIC Program has adapted SharePoint WIC APP in October 2014 as an innovative solution to virtually manage clinic workflow at five program sites anticipating the Stateâs Crossroads System rollout in December 2014. WIC APP is a user friendly âVirtual WIC Clinic Flowâ with âNewsfeedâ feature. It is designed to replace the existing paper routing system. WIC Program Experience with the Tool: 1. Management tool to virtually monitor clinic flows and anticipate the need for help early to avoid impacting the customerâs wait time. 2. Helps supervisors monitor and track peak walk in times for pick-ups. 3. Saves time by enabling staff to copy/paste family ID numberâs to Crossroads. 4. The âCommentsâ section enables staff to document and share important details about the family such as: type of appointment or special needs. 5. WIC APP has definitely made the transition to Crossroads manageable and is found to be more user friendly than the Crossroads Dashboard. As Wake County WIC continues to move towards becoming "almost paperless" in our service delivery, WIC APP has been a game changer.
