The Threat Management Program is represented as the first line of the defense in an organization’s security posture. The purpose of the Threat Management Program is to identify threats and respond to identified incidents. The primary goal of Threat Management is to establish a framework for identifying, analyzing and responding to Cyber Security threats. This is accomplished through establishing: • a threat intelligence program that identifies Cyber Security threats; • a threat analysis program that serves to establish criteria for categorizing, prioritizing and displaying the state of Cyber Security threats identified; and • a threat response program that remediates Cyber Security threats, which are analyzed.
