The Surplus & Donation – Furniture & Equipment Online Catalogues are two interdependent inventory catalogues that enable both internal and external customers of the Los Angeles Superior Court (LASC) to order furniture and equipment from surplus inventory. The first catalogue is an online surplus catalogue designed to enable LASC courthouse managers to view a “cloud”-based online catalogue, where images of surplus assets may be viewed, placed into a “shopping cart,” and “checked out” from a central warehouse. The second, the online donation catalogue, is designed for government and public entities who lack resources to purchase furniture and equipment. It too operates on a cloud-based format, and supports the same viewing, selecting and ordering functions available on the online surplus catalog. The Court processed over 1,500 orders for internal and external customers since the introduction of the duo-catalog program in October 2014. Over 20 recipients have registered for the online donation catalogue.
