Year: 2021

In May 2020, Leon County developed a Short-Term Vacation Rental Safety Plan to facilitate the safe re-opening of vacation rental properties in Leon County and to help sustain our local tourism economy through the COVID-19 pandemic. The plan outlines specific safety guidelines for property owners and managers to ensure that short-term vacation rentals are opened in a responsible and safe manner. These guidelines are reviewed throughout each phase of Leon County’s COVID-19 Response & Reopening Plan by the Leon County Division of Tourism, in consultation with Leon County Emergency Management, and updated as needed to reflect changes in public health guidance issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
