Year: 2014

The Macomb County Information Technology (IT) Department, working with other government organizations within Macomb County, implemented a two-way interactive video service with other government entities located outside of Macomb County. This project, which went live in October 2013, enabled Macomb County law enforcement departments and courts to conduct secure and cost-effective two-way video communications with other Federal, State, County, and local municipalities throughout Michigan. The purpose of this project was to utilize video technology to conduct arraignments, court hearings, warrant authorizations, expert testimony, and other pertinent matters amongst government offices while reducing the cost, time and risk inherently involved with these activities.
