About the Program

Category: Civic Education and Public Information (Best in Category)

Year: 2018

Gwinnett County (GA) has more than 90,000 privately owned septic systems that dispose of nearly 30 million gallons of wastewater underground every day. Yet many homeowners don’t know if they have one… or how they work… or how to maintain them. In response, the County started a public education program that includes workshops, maintenance kits, and efforts to educate realtors so they can give homeowners factual answers.
