Senior Benefits Information Centers (SBICs): Helping Seniors Connect to Benefits and Services that Save Time and Money are active, library-based walk-in centers that have volunteers screen Westchester County seniors and adults living with disabilities for needs-based benefit programs. The Westchester County Department of Senior Programs and Services (CDSPS), in partnership with the Westchester Library System (WLS) and the Medicare Rights Center (MRC) opened four (4) Senior Benefit Information Centers located in the following communities: Mount Kisco, Shrub Oak, Tarrytown, and Yonkers. Each of these locations serves a low-income region within the County. During hours of operation, each center is staffed with one paid Volunteer Service Coordinator and a minimum of two trained Volunteer Counselors providing one-on-one, person-centered benefit screening and Medicare counseling to Westchester residents and their caregivers.
