Educating the community and key response partners on disaster related topics is both a priority and a challenge for local health departments. McHenry County Department of Health strives to ensure that the entire community is aware of County response plans and knowledgeable about their own responsibilities before, during and after disasters. To assist with this objective, MCDH has authored and distributed “Quick Reference Guides for Public Health Emergencies” to agencies throughout McHenry County.
