The Performance Assessment System (PAS) was created to continuously monitor critical areas of performance to evaluate whether standards are being met and to account for opportunities of improvement and growth. The San Bernardino County Probation Department designed and implemented PAS to continuously inspect the department’s procedures and processes in an effort to guarantee the most professional and effective delivery of service and to demonstrate effectiveness using high standards and performance outcome measures specific to the needs of the San Bernardino County Probation Department.
