In anticipation of the Seasonal and H1N1 Influenza Pandemic, the Human Resource Management Department (HRM) developed and implemented an Operational Seasonal and H1N1 Influenza Preparedness Plan in 2009. This plan included the development of a new Pandemic Influenza policy, a Seasonal and H1N1 Influenza Resource Manual, a Frequently Asked Questions document, vaccination clinics, information on proper hand washing, and videotaped messages on the county internet and intranet sites. Planning for pandemics supports Chesterfield County’s Continuity of Operation pan, which is designed to keep critical operations functioning during a crisis or disaster.
