Genealogy connects families, helps people find birth relatives, reveals genetic information and makes history come alive. The Genealogy Speaker Series was created by OC Public Libraries to assist the public with their multicultural genealogical research while increasing community connections and helping patrons with lifelong learning. The Series was designed to promote the Library Edition of the Ancestry.com service that is available to patrons of OC Public Libraries. As a result, 14 lectures have been held which were attended by a total of more than 550 patrons.
