Maricopa County Teen Leadership Experience (MCLE) program is designed to introduce youth between the ages of 12-17 to careers in county government with activities, workshops and volunteer opportunities. In its sixth year, MCLE offers a wide variety of hands-on experiences through independent, self-initiated learning activities via many entities within the county. Through this unique program, students explore how the environment, government, and the community are all part of Maricopa County. Departments across Maricopa County open up their doors and invite the youth to experience first-hand, the ways in which they serve their communities. Many youth who have participated in the MCLE program return each summer for a new experience.
