Managing for Results (MFR) is designed to meet Wayne County’s core mission: to lead the nation in providing exemplary and efficient services that continuously promote and enhance the highest quality of life for those who choose to live, work, visit, and play in Wayne County. Introduced to Wayne County in 2007, Managing for Results enhances efficiency and effectiveness in County programs and processes. It is a way of doing business that improves the County’s culture, creates transparency, and restores accountability. Managing for Results adheres to and follows food management practices—providing the right information to make good business decisions, keeping focus on customers and ultimately allocating resources to programs and services that demonstrate the ability to achieve results. Each Executive Department at Wayne County has created a Strategic Business Plan that is updated each fiscal year to stay current and on-track with the high demands from the department level, to group level, and to program level.
