The Montgomery County Police Departments, Managed Search Operations Program is a comprehensive law enforcement approach to the effective and efficient response to endangered missing persons cases. The 3 tenets of this program are Response, Education and Prevention. Utilizing this approach the department has enhanced its response to cases where a missing person is in danger of serious injury or death due to any number of contributing factors. These enhancements have had a positive effect on the nearly 6% of the county’s population who, if they went missing, have at least one factor which would endanger their safety.
