Over the past decade, there has been an increasing trend in communities that push for a bycicle-friendly neighborhood network. Although existing bike routes work well, many citizens are unaware of their existence or their path. In response to this dilemma, Montgomery County has published a user-friendly and universally accessible bicycling map application with several unique tools. Adapted for use on mobile devices, this application allows citizens to plan their bycicle trip with ease and efficiency. Additionally, a similarly styled poster-sized paper map has also been offered to the public. The implementation of this project has caused increased traffic on county bike paths, indicating it's success.
