Advancing the community as a whole and enhancing the quality of life of Leon County residents is a goal fulfilled when new, innovative ideas are implemented that increase the intellectual development within our local society. Promoting innovation, creativity, and confidence in children is essential for their future success in the classroom, careers, and their social life. The LEGO Junior Makers Club at Leon County public libraries contributes to the growth of our citizens – both children and adults – by providing opportunities for children to learn and advance these skills. Promoting reading, expanding imagination, and displaying the importance of teamwork is vital for preparing today’s children to become tomorrow’s leaders. The LEGO Junior Makers Club, located at all of Leon County’s library branches, unites communities, engages families, and promotes the mission statement of the Leon County Public Library System to “inspire a love for reading and a life of learning.”
