In January 2016, Leon County partnered with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to develop and deliver a Human Trafficking Awareness Training program. The training is required for all frontline field staff and optional for other county staff members. Our field staff members have a large presence throughout our community and the training is intended to heighten their awareness of the crime, recognize indicators of human trafficking and know where and how to report suspected trafficking activities.
