GoCarverGo.org, Carver County’s Active Living website, is designed to increase awareness and use of existing trails, paths, parks, and facilities in the county. It features a Carver County specific mapping system that allows users to locate local parks and trails throughout the entire county. The website’s mapping application also allows users to map out their own personal walking, biking, and running routes. The website, launched in 2008, also educates the public about the importance of physical activity, assists citizen groups and community partners in highlighting local active living opportunities and events, and involves citizens and landowners in the planning of their communities. The Trails and Recreation Information Portal (TRIP) is a key component to the website. TRIP is the one-stop-shop for parks, trails, and sidewalk information compiled together for city, county, and regional government organizations. This information allows residents to find local opportunities to “Go!”
