San Bernardino County Children and Family Services (CFS) has partnered with other agencies and community partners for five years to provide foster and kinship youth with a unique one-day learning experience. The Foster and Kinship Youth Sports Faire Program is conducted annually to teach foster and kinship youth the fundamental skills of a sport, to promote well-being, to develop a lifelong appreciation for exercise, to promote nutrition and healthy living, and to impart valuable community resources to the youth and their foster parents and kinship care providers. Community volunteers, including professional athletes and Olympians, and children and family Services staff donate their time and talent throughout the year to plan and participate in this annual event.
