Fiscal & Support Services (FSS) is a consolidated, back-office department supporting 18 Hillsborough County departments, divisions and programs through fiscal, contract, compliance and information technology (IT) services. FSS is committed to providing quality fiscal and business/analytical support, systems management and reporting, contract development and guidance and compliance programs with courtesy, integrity and accountability; leveraging available resources and controlling costs through continual process improvements. These services will be delivered through partnerships with Public Safety & Community Services Departments (PSCS) enabling them to focus on their core mission to provide efficient and effective services to the community. FSS outcomes include:1. A realignment of responsibilities to match business processes within the Enterprise Resource Planning system resulting in a reduction in administrative costs.2. Continuing to consolidate systems within the County as well as local municipalities utilizing internal resources and other state government agencies leading to reduction in systems administration costs. 3. Standardization of common core business policies and procedures under PSCS to eliminate audit findings and streamline business processes resulting in administrative cost reduction. 4. Continuing to expand service delivery to the citizen through the use of web-based technology leading to a reduction in manual paper processes.
